SAND AND STONE

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT

DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE

THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND

'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE'

THEY KEPT ON WALKING,
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE! AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.


AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM
THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:

'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE'

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED
AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU,
YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'

THE FRIEND REPLIED
'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN
IN SAND, WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.


BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES
SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE
WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT'

LEARN TO WRITE
YOUR HURTS IN
THE SAND AND TO
CARVE YOUR
BENEFITS IN STONE.


THEY SAY IT TAKES A

memory

hi dad,steven

well another year as past but you are thought of every day
maisie and alex miss you so much as does a lot of others ,
we always talk about the good times and laugh about the things we did and the good times we all had, maisie is always saying about the time she went to the park with her bike when ever we pass the park she will say thats where my dad took me on my bike ,she is always asking for you and saying she wants to come and see you i have told her we can by visiting your resting place and that you are with her every day ,then she asks well why can i not see him its so hard to try and explain ,alex,s match was cancelled due to the weather he really wanted to try and score that goal for you ,i have told him on tues his next match he can .

well steven we will see you at your resting place later meet you there .

hya stevie its this time a yr again cnt believe its been this lng it only feels like yes2day when i last saw u driving that iceland work van, i always used to laugh nd u used 2 say well its a job n pays the bill's, wel got2go nw our farra's due for a feed anytime soon again, luk afta yesel and oua scott hope hes doing well let im nar al be visitin is stone in the nxt cuple dayz to clean up, keep smiling boyz xxx RIP

just popped on to say hello,alex football season starts again on your memory so he said he wants to come early to visit your resting place ,as he hopes this will help him to score a goal for you ,bless him .

well maisie is doing great she is going to a new school when the hoildays are over she is excited about this so its a diff uniform for her and alex is off to the big school .

well steven not a great deal happing here as you know but i have been to a friends funeral today so look for tony when he arrives and show him the ropes .

well steven just want to say as always look over us to keep us safe .

alex birthday

hi dad

as you know its my birthday today ,i have had a good day,i got the new sunderland strip and a safc earring ,diamond 1
and a new ring, a ball,new tracksuit and new trainers,wish you where here dad miss you so much,maisie helped me open my cards this morning and she sang happy birthday to me ,after school i had a few friends over for tea,well dad i will close now by saying love you always watch over us to keep us safe .

morning steven

not much happening here day to day running as normal,hope you are looking after all family and friends there
glen was at your resting place with maisie the other day as she asked to see you to give you a kiss,the other day she asked me if i was keeping all your photo,s etc for her when she gets big like a grown up i told her they are all her,s and alex,s ,alex is doing his football training again he is hoping to get on another team ,ronnie is back in hospital again so its trips back and forth there maisie loves to come with me so she can eat his sweets hahaha

hi steven

yesterday was my mam,s 70th birthday ,we went to the holymere for a meal ,our michelle came up from london to surprise my mam we had a right laugh ,i hope you are looking out for peggy for me tell her am askin after her,

maisie had one of her outburst where she just announces
she wants to see you at your restin place just so she can give you a kiss ,she had a tiny little stud she wanted to give you ,she tried to put it where your picture was but dropped it it fell into your stones but she was alright when i told her you have will still get it from there bless her ,they both miss you steven ,but you are missed in more ways than one ,glenn is always saying things then says things like we talk about him as if he is still here i say to him he is, as you are in our thoughts and in our hearts always
